Preplo works best with Reels that include recipe information. The more detailed the cooking content, the better the extraction. Reels with just music and no recipe content may not have enough information to extract a complete recipe.
Instagram Reels are short-form content, so extracted recipes don't include timestamps like YouTube videos do. However, you still get a complete recipe with ingredients, quantities, and step-by-step instructions.
Yes, the Reel must be publicly accessible for Preplo to extract the recipe. Private accounts and restricted content cannot be accessed by our extraction tool.
Currently, Preplo only supports Instagram Reels, not Stories. Stories are temporary content and don't have the persistent URL structure needed for recipe extraction. We recommend saving recipes from Reels instead.
